It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the newly appointed principal of Guardian Angels Catholic School. It is a tremendous honor and privilege to lead a school with a rich tradition of faithful service, academic excellence, and a strong sense of community.
Over the past sixteen years, I have served Guardian Angels in several different capacities. I have developed and enjoyed wonderful working relationships with students, parents, faculty, staff, our school pastor, and many educators throughout our diocesan and local schools. Prior to my years at Guardian Angels, I served as a teacher at Saint Joseph Catholic School in Bradenton and at public schools in both Manatee and Palm Beach Counties. All of the rich experiences I’ve had in education have prepared me well to be your school leader.
It is a delight to introduce Mrs. Nicole Wilson as my assistant principal. Mrs. Wilson’s dedication to Catholic education is part of her entire life experience. Mrs. Wilson was raised in Catholic schools, and has been teaching in Catholic schools for fourteen years. She brings to us her deep faith, a high level of professionalism, and knowledge of effective educational practice.
The impact and influence that a school can have on a child is second only to that of their own family. The administration, teachers, and staff at Guardian Angels take this responsibility very seriously. Henry Adams, an American author and historian said, “A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.” Please know that I am always fully aware of this influence.
When I was a child, my family prayed for the success of my school, Curé of Ars Catholic School, every evening before we ate dinner. Please keep Guardian Angels School community in your daily family prayers. United together in prayer, faith, and hard work there is no doubt that we will have a wonderful school year.
