For Assistance: InstantAlertHelp@Honeywell.com We Are Now Ordering
School Lunches Online! Our School-Lunch order form is now online. All lunch orders should be
placed online using the website order form.
To place a lunch order, go to www.gacsfl.com then choose the
“Lunch Order” option under the parent tab.
The Lunch On Line Ordering link
will take you to the log-in page for the online lunch ordering system. ·
When you visit the lunch ordering website, here’s how the
system works: ·
You will receive your username and password via
email. The email will come from support@orgsonline.com. (Check your junk mail) ·
You'll be asked to Log-in with your email account. Enter your email and click “Submit”. Do not create a new user account. Your account is already set up. ·
On the next page, re-enter your email address and the
password that was provided in the email you received from
support@orgsonline.com. ·
You will be asked “Update Your Information”. You will confirm your email, correct any
information provided and select a security question. This is where you will
also be able to change your password. ·
On the next page, click “Go To Lunch” on the left side of
the page. You will then be directed to
the lunch ordering page for the current ordering period. Click “Place Order” ·
Your child has already been entered in the system and
should appear in the drop down menu. Orders
should be placed for each child individually.
Payments can be made online using a credit / debit card, electronic
check or you may send a check to school made payable to Guardian Angels. We have tried to make ordering school-lunch easy. There are a couple of
things you will need to remember: You need to place a separate order for each child (or staff member) that
is ordering lunch. You will need to login each month to place an order. Once you are logged in, you will be taken to
your account’s Main Page. You MUST process each order through and save to submit your order. We cannot process your order if it has not
been fully submitted & confirmed. If you have more than one student, enter each student’s order
separately. Each student’s order amount is added to the Current Balance as
orders are submitted. This way you only
need to authorize payment once to pay for all orders. One last note, if you
attempt to order after the cut-off date, the system will not accept your order. If you encounter any problems activating your account, please send an
email to lschmidt@gacsfl.com. Parent - Faculty Association
The purpose of the Parent Faculty Association is to cultivate positive relationships between home, school, parish and the community. It provides financial assistance to the school by directing school fund-raising programs and also provides a system of service hours for the association to aid the program. Opportunities for guest speakers and educational programs for parents are offered.
There are at least two (2) general meetings during the school year. All parents are encouraged to attend. Appropriate issues, as determined by the PFA president and school administrator, may be addressed by any parent for the board meeting or general meeting. In both cases, the request must be submitted to the President in writing no less than two weeks before the meeting in question.

Dear Parents: In an effort to protect the children in our care during school hours, the Diocese of St. Petersburg is requiring each school to follow the procedure outlined below in screening the volunteers who will work directly with our children. Please read the descriptions of the types of volunteers below and follow the procedure that outlines the type of volunteer you will be at Guardian Angels Catholic School.
LEVEL1 Level 1 volunteers are defined as volunteers who will be working on fundraising activities, at – home volunteer activities, and activities that do not require the volunteer to assume the care, responsibility and supervision of children. Volunteers who work in the library, technology classes, middle school “Pay – to Play” activities, and lunchroom are considered Level 1 volunteers. Parents who volunteer outside of school, either working on at – home projects for teachers, or with the PFA on the various functions need not complete an application. Guardian Angels will follow the following procedure to screen Level 1 volunteers:
1. The volunteer will complete a Volunteer Application (available in the school office) and return it to the school office as soon as possible. If both parents wish to volunteer, a separate application packet must be completed for each parent. 2. If possible, attend a diocesan approved Safe Environment Training. While this is not mandatory for Level 1 volunteers, it is strongly recommended in the event that a volunteer wishes to volunteer at a Level 2 situation at a later time. This training is offered at the parishes at various times throughout the year. A schedule of training dates is available on the diocesan website at dosp.org. This training must be renewed every five years. Renewals can be done online. The link to complete these trainings can be found under “Quick Links” on the Guardian Angels website. A copy of the class certification should be provided to the school office.
LEVEL 2 Level 2 volunteers are defined as volunteers who will or may be left to care, supervise or assume responsibility for children. Volunteers who fall into this category are classroom volunteers, room parents, coaches, and field trip chaperones. Guardian Angels will follow the following procedure to screen Level 2 volunteers:
1. The volunteer will complete a Volunteer Application (available in the school office) and return it to the school office as soon as possible. If both parents wish to volunteer, a separate application packet must be completed for each parent. 3. Diocesan policy requires that all volunteers in this category have a Level 2 Background screening. This screening can be scheduled through the diocese. The link to the site to schedule the screening can be found on the Guardian Angels website under “Quick Links” at the top of the page. The volunteer will be required to be rescreened every five years. If you are scheduling a rescreening, you will go through the same link on the website. 4. A Level 2 volunteer MUST attend a diocesan approved Safe Environment Training. For all parents that have never previously attended Safe Environment Training, this training is offered at the parishes at various times throughout the year. Failure to attend this class will prohibit the volunteer from working with children. This training must be renewed every five years. For all parents that have already attended a Safe Environment training but need to renew, you can complete the renewal online. The link to complete these renewals can be found under “Quick Links” on the Guardian Angels website. Two modules need to be completed online. One is “Recognize and Report Child Abuse” and the other is “Detecting Predators”. A copy of the class certifications should be provided to the school office. If you have taken this class previously and fall within the 5 year renewal period, proof of attendance at the training will satisfy this requirement.
While this procedure may seem a bit time consuming, we cannot lose sight of the fact that we will always do our best to provide a safe learning environment for our students. I appreciate your willingness to share your time with our students.
Sincerely,
Mary Stalzer Principal SPIN (Student Parent Information Network)

Please read the handbook with your children and help them to understand the basic concepts. Then sign and return the included form within five days indicating your compliance with school policies. As new policies are adopted, parents will be informed in writing. In some cases, inserts will be distributed to parents for placement in the handbook.
Guardian Angels School welcomes you to its community. It is our prayer that each of us will remain strong in our commitment to keep Guardian Angels Catholic School an outstanding Christian educational community.
Mission Guardian Angels Catholic School is a vital mission of its four feeder parishes: St. Ignatius of Antioch, St. Michael the Archangel, St. Luke and All Saints. The school is dedicated to provide a challenging, faith-filled, educational environment fostering and reflecting Gospel values which establishes the foundation for an active life in service to the Church, community and world.
Statement of Beliefs The Guardian Angels Catholic School community recognizes and facilitates the development of each child as an extension of God. We are committed to the belief that each child:
Is a unique individual Is entitled to respect Is offered the opportunity to learn at his/her own pace Is destined to become a life-long learner Must be taught life skills in a caring, Christian atmosphere Becomes knowledgeable of the teachings of the Church
Acknowledging parents as the primary educators of their children, we believe that parental commitment, cooperation and involvement in partnership with the school and parishes will develop tomorrow’s leaders in faith and knowledge.
History of Guardian Angels Catholic School
In the autumn of 1990, a concerned group of parents from North Pinellas County approached Bishop Favalora requesting that the Diocese of St. Petersburg consider providing Catholic education for their children. After meeting with the pastors of four parishes, All Saints in Clearwater, St. Ignatius in Tarpon Springs, St. Luke the Evangelist in Palm Harbor and St. Michael the Archangel in Clearwater, the Bishop announced that Guardian Angels Primary School would open on St. Michael's parish grounds in August 1991. St. Michael's would serve as a temporary site for the school until a new site could be found and a permanent school built. Reverend James Russo was named the first school pastor.
Guardian Angel's Primary School opened its doors to 35 kindergarten and first grade children in August 1991. Sister Jean Marie Dick was sent by the Sisters of Notre Dame of Chardon, Ohio at the request of Father Russo to serve as the first school principal. Sister Jean Marie was joined by two lay teachers and a school secretary.
In 1992, as a result of overwhelming interest evidenced by a dramatic increase in applications received from parents, the Diocese decided that Guardian Angels would expand from a primary school to a complete elementary school with grades kindergarten through eight. A capital campaign throughout the four parishes was begun to help finance this project. In the fall of 1995 Guardian Angels Catholic School opened its new school on Evans Road in Clearwater. A plaque and individual nameplates hang throughout the building to recognize donors who contributed various amounts to the building of the school.
In 1998, the second phase of construction was completed with the addition of a middle school building. Plans for Phase III are in the planning stages. School Supplies (2013/2014)
